Vivo has emerged as one of the biggest and visible smartphone brands in the country. It has got a tremendous offline presence across India. But this time around, they planned to give a tough fight to brands like Xiaomi and Samsung online also. So, they will be launching Vivo Z1 pro on Flipkart. The company promised to get the Z1 pro packed with great cameras, battery life, and processing power. So, analyzing all these stuffs, I too got myself the all-new Vivo Z1 pro, and I am here to write an honest review.
The first thing that attracts you is that it has shifted the trend of putting the selfie camera in the middle. It has placed it at the top corner of the phone, giving it a unique look already. I bought the Sonic blue variant which is emerald green at the top and fades to cobalt blue ads you go down. It also catches the light while you are flipping the phone around.
Coming to the camera there are three rear cameras of 16MP+8MP+2MP respectively from top to bottom with a flash, and the selfie camera is of 32MP. The wide-angle view and other photo qualities seemed pretty interesting to me as the colour popped very nicely with the details in the focusing areas. The selfie camera does not allow any portrait mode or depth effect, but the lighting effect compensates for that.
For the processor, they are using Snapdragon 712 processor that gets backed up with a 6GB RAM provides me a great gaming experience while playing high graphics games like PUBG or Asphalt 10. It does not even get that much heated up during intense gaming.
It supports dual nano SIM with both 4G support along with an extra slot for micro SD card. The sound quality provided by the single speaker good enough at low volume but it cracks if played at high volume. The 5000mAH battery backs me excellently throughout the day. The provided 18W charger is rapid, and the plus is that the dual engine fast charging gets enabled while using a third party charger also. It also equipped with an extra side button that helps you to allow Google to voice assistants in one touch.
Most important, the shortcomings that need to be worked upon are the Funtouch OS UI that does not go full screen in most of the apps. Viewing angle is excellent, but as it is not providing AMOLED panel, the colours seemed to be dull to me.
All and all I will recommend keeping Vivo Z1 pro to your list if you are aiming to buy a new phone soon under 20,000 INR.
